"Daddy i think it's time for me to become an angel now"
Louise sadly lost her fight to cancer on the 11th August 2007, at the very young age of 13 ... She
has and always will touch peoples life's and heart's ... Louise fighted cancer with
determination and showed alot of courage.
There's many things i can tell you about Louise ... So many great memories, but here's
just a few so you know what sort of person Louise was.
Louise was not a typical 13 year old girl ... she was much more, she had a lot of things to offer
and alot of love to give. Louies was all about fun and laughter so full of energy she knew how to
live life to the full.
She loved meeting new people and helping people when ever she could. When ever you seen Louise she
was always on skates or always had a football in her hands ... she was always on the go, Louise was
very cheeky and loved playing tricks on people all the time, when ever she could play a trick she
would. Some thing Louise done which scard us all so much was she was helping my mum in the kitchen
and she got blood all over her hands from cutting up meat she came running into the front room
saying "help help i'v cut my hand open" we were all running around trying to sort her
out and in the end she just laughed her head of and said "got ya."
Louise loved roller skating she was so good at it ... me being me was so rubbish at it ... so there
she would go coming round mine saying "come on girlie get your skates on your coming with
me" so off we would go not nowing were she would take me ... louise always had to pull me along
because i just couldnt get the hang of it ... she never gave up trying to help me skate she never
gave up helping others ... Louise supported leicester city and met them on quiet a few occasions ...
she touched there hearts they attended her funeral and said a few words for Louise ... i think in
this life who ever came in contact or heard of louise she has touched them in anyway imaginable ...
Louise's favourite band was Blue she would always be listening to them always talking about
them and believe it or not guess what her fav colour was? blue ... everything she had she would try
and get it in blue she was blue mad bless her.
When Louise was diagnosed with cancer, She began chemotherapy straight away at LRI on ward 10 were
she fighted day and night with a smile. Louise touched many hearts and everyone soon became very
aware of how ill Louise was ... Louise began to pick up and fighted the cancer away she proved
doctors wrong ... all they kept saying was "24 hours left if that" but Louise kept
fighting on ... she was beating the cancer but very soon the cancer hit back ... People started to
raise money for louise so she could have her last wish's come true ... but she didn't keep
a penny she gave it all away to "Make a wish" so other children got there last wish's
one louise sadly didn't get to have she also gave money to the cancer ward, for children to
have things to do.
Louise never once thought of her self ... she never once said "Why me?" she got on with it
... news soon came back saying chemotherapy wasn't working ... the news we dreaded most. There
was nothing anyone could do but wait for a miracle, i miracle what was never going to happen. The
cancer spread to her lungs, kidneys, liver, heart and even parts of the brain. Louise began fitting
and very quickly deterated ... Doctors said we had to prepare our selves for the worst.
Louise lived her last few weeks here on earth to the fullest anyone ever could ... she laughed and
smiled through out helping others and getting to know alot of new people ... louise began a new
thing were you had to pay £1.00 to see her so she could have her nails feet and massages she loved
it. Louise went out and had a picnic with all the nurses and doctors who helped her ... she was very
ill but she was still our lou ... she was still playing tricks and telling jokes. Louise wrote
letters and cards to everyone she knew ... to everyone who helped her ... she wanted her name to be
remembered and louise moons name will always be remembered for helping people and never giving up
hope.
Louise always said she will beat cancer ... and she did but in a different way she learnt people how
to live life to the full and never give up hope in other people ... she learnt people many things
and made the awarness of stomach cancer that bit more out in to the public eye ... she was a 13 year
old who was born an angel died an angel and now she is the perfect angel in heaven x
this is just a little bit about louise and i hope you have some idea of how much a fun loving young
woman she really was x
Leicester Mercury Page 10 x You have even touched famous peoples hearts lou xx Muzzy the football player xx
He's also the patron of Wishes4Kids, a local charity he first got involved with thanks to a local girl who had a massive effect on the former City midfielder.
'It all came about by chance, really,' he says. 'The club called me and told me about this girl called Louise Moon.
'The thing with the charity is that they try to grant these kids three wishes. Louise was very, very ill - and one of the wishes was that she wanted to meet me.'
Humbled, Muzzy went to the hospital. He was nervous, he says, pacing up and down, not knowing exactly what to do or the right thing to say.
He remembers standing outside the hospital ward, looking through the window of the door, and seeing a young girl lying in bed. 'I couldn't really see her,' he says, 'for all the tubes and wires.
'She was poorly, but she could talk so we had a chat and I thought she was lovely. We got on great.'
They got on so well, he returned again and again; sitting by her bedside, holding her hand, making her laugh with stories about her favourite football team.
When she died, although it wasn't a shock, it hit him hard. He went to her funeral and, when his daughter was born three months ago, he called her Lyla Louise.
'Those kinds of things do affect you,' he says quietly. 'You know, I was always all right when we used to go to the kids' ward at Christmas with the rest of the players.
'I could deal with that. But this was different. I had a real relationship with Louise. It was very humbling. She made me stronger as a person, too.'
So to put a bit back - to help a local charity which does such good things - it's a small price to pay really, he says.
After we talk, he rings Louise's family, worried that he might have said too much. If they want, he'll retract the things he's said. They don't mind, they say. They were glad of his help.
He's done two interviews since he retired. One in The Observer last week - which was 'full of errors' he laughs - and this one. 'I'd rather just keep my head down,' he says.
Does he look back on his career and feel proud of what he achieved?
louise = inspiration
I am so sorry to hear about the death of this young child ... my heart has been touched in many ways by this young lady !! what a true inspiration, it has broken my heart to think her life was cut short at the very young age of 13 she had the rest of it to live why does this happen to young children? it just does not make sence xx
so sorry xpaularadcliff@hotmail.c
Do you know the phone number for heaven?
I want to make a call.
Telephone directories - oh yes, I've tried them all.
I asked the local vicar,
He talks to God you see.
I thought he had a direct line,
but he was no help to me.
I tried the yellow pages,
But nothing seems to fit.
You see I just want to talk ,
To my nathan for just a little bit
Child gone homex
Child Gone Home
Children's voices fill the air,
Life and laughter ring,
Across the hills of Heaven
Small, sweet voices sing
.
Gone to be with Jesus,
Each little girl and boy,
Now run and play as never before,
In the land of eternal joy.
Never to know another tear,
Or face another pain;
What was senseless loss on earth
Has now become Heaven's gain.
While Heaven is much sweeter,
In your heart you'll not be alone;
God filled it with memories of laughter and love,
Of that child who has now gone home.
An inspiration to many x
